World Book Day
Welcome to our World Book Day celebration page.
World Book Day 2026
World Book Day is 5th March 2026 and this year our School Council have chosen to dress up as a book character. We kindly ask that families do not feel the need to purchase new outfits - homemade costumes are always wonderful, creative and far better value.
We are also asking every child to decorate a paper plate with either a scene from their favourite book or an illustration of characters from the story. Each child will receive a paper plate before half term so they can beging working on their masterpiece at home.
There will also be a special menu with the choices:
Treasure Island Tortilla Wraps with Mild Chilli Chicken, Cannon Ball Potato Puffs, Golden Corn & Ruby Pepper Medley
Hogwarts House Pasta - Pasta Spirals & Tomato Sauce with Gryffindor Garlic Bread
with
Charlie's Chocolate Factory Cake (Chocolate Sprinkle Cupcake)
or Matilda's Magical Jelly (Strawberry Jelly with Cream & Sprinkles).
To order these lunches please complete our World Book Day Order Form
World Book Day 2025
We enjoyed celebrating World Book Day dressed as our favourite book characters. The school librarians also enjoyed the morning at Parbold Library learning about library organisation systems.

World Book Day 2024
This year we celebrated the day by coming to school dressed as a word. Look at some of the winners!
We also decorated a paper plate to represent our favourite book. It could be a character, a scene, a new front cover or any representation that you wished to reflect a favourite book.
